Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.8 degrees.
Petra Bale, Amp Meter and G'Day Muscles were quick to begin. Unknown Warrior was slow to begin.
Amp Meter and G'Day Muscles collided approaching the first turn checking Amp Meter. Aerolithology checked off Amp Meter approaching the first turn. Jazzy Arandt checked off Amp Meter on the first turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Zammit, the representative for trainer Ms. M. Brealey, regarding the scratchings of Also Arandt, Who Is Arandt and My Name's Arandt from this event. Mr. Zammit stated that Ms. Brealey scratched Who Is Arandt and My Name's Arandt (both reserves) under the GRV Heat Policy. Mr. Zammit added that these two greyhounds were scratched yesterday before the fields were finalised. He further added that Also Arandt sustained a toe injury yesterday and was also scratched accordingly. Stewards noted his explanation.
