Fran Keeping and Petey Baqui collided soon after the start. Architecture checked off Crackerjack Jase on the first turn checking Master Zemnick and Fairytale Ending. Petey Baqui crossed out on the home turn and collided with Architecture checking Architecture, Master Zemnick and Petey Baqui, causing Architecture and Master Zemnick to race wide.
Stewards spoke to the trainer of Thurles Princess Mr. M Whyte and issued with a warning regarding his use of a mobile phone while still on the track following the event in accordance with GAR 44.
