Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Jerry Buzzard, Diamond Socks, Bones Fume and Remember Jimmy collided soon after the start. Sassy Keats crossed in soon after the start and collided with Remember Jimmy and Swordfish Fozz checking both greyhounds. Jerry Buzzard and Diamond Socks collided at the 300m mark. Remember Jimmy checked off Sassy Keats approaching the 250m mark, crossed to the outside and collided with Swordfish Fozz. Jerry Buzzard and Diamond Socks collided several times from the 250m mark to the 100m mark checking both greyhounds. Bones Fume and Sassy Keats collided at the 100m mark. Jerry Buzzard attempted to cross out at the 100m mark checking Diamond Socks and Bones Fume. Bones Fume checked off Sassy Keats approaching the winning post.

Kid Malawi was slow to begin.

Ishmy Neecy and King Brown collided approaching the 150m mark checking Ishmy Neecy. Ishmy Neecy and King Brown crossed to the rail approaching the 100m mark. Ishmy Neecy checked off Sunspear at the 100m mark and stumbled. Kid Malawi raced wide at the 100m mark and collided with Kurtlee Bale several times.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Meyer, the trainer of Kid Malawi and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark.

Midnight Pompeii was slow to begin. Angus Abalone stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (3L).

Angus Abalone crossed to the outside at the 250m mark.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Midnight Pompeii, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

A post-race sample was taken from Lenny's Jagger - the winner of the event.

Lights Of Tanjil was slow to begin and checked off Billy's Missile soon after the start. Billy's Missile and Ishmy Barry collided soon after the start. Found In Quartz and Valletta Mist collided at the 250m mark checking Valletta Mist. Billy's Missile checked off Spring Nugget at the 200m mark checking Ishmy Barry. Lights Of Tanjil, Billy's Missile and Ishmy Barry collided at the 150m mark. Lights Of Tanjil and Springvale Misty collided approaching the 50m mark.

Billy's Missile – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound tonight and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Melanistic and Ted Do were slow to begin.

Ted Do raced wide at the 300m mark. Melanistic and Maximum Capers collided approaching the 250m mark. Awesome Arby and Maximum Capers collided several times from the 250m mark to the 150m mark; both greyhounds raced wide. Melanistic and Warm Beer collided approaching the 150m mark. Warm Beer, Melanistic and Braemar Furey collided at the 100m mark checking Melanistic and Braemar Furey.

Master Winslow was slow to begin.

Janray Lucky One and Annaley Flash collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Inter Lana crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark checking Blackpool Remi and Red Potion. Janray Lucky One, Crystal Bling and Blackpool Remi collided at the 250m mark. Janray Lucky One raced wide at the 150m mark and collided with Quick Transition. Inter Lana and Janray Lucky One collided at the 100m mark. Inter Lana checked off Janray Lucky One at the 50m mark. Janray Lucky One and Quick Transition collided approaching the winning post.

Annaley Flash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left calf muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Flying Solo - Late scratching at 10:43am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr T. Whitford was fined $100.

Mr W. Green failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Chill Winston for racing. Mr Green was fined $100 pursuant to GAR 46 (2)

My Victoria checked off Tat Nuggie soon after the start and crossed to the outside. Chill Winston checked off Decker at the 250m mark and collided with Yondu and Lloyd Bale. Yondu raced wide at the 200m mark checking Lloyd Bale. Chill Winston checked off Tat Nuggie approaching the 50m mark. Decker and Tat Nuggie collided at the 50m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Titanium Lad.

Superior Breeze and Titanium Lad collided soon after the start. Inter Joe checked off Superior Merlot at the 300m mark. Monaco Lights and Superior Merlot collided approaching the 250m mark. Monaco Lights checked off Master Faith at the 200m mark checking Superior Merlot and Titanium Lad. Monaco Lights and Titanium Lad collided approaching the 50m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Queen Of Promise.

Fernando Toy - New declared weight of 29.1kgs, last raced at 30.5kgs.

Nana Rose was slow to begin.

Fernando Toy, Nana Rose and Sweet About Lily collided soon after the start. Chasin' Louie and Fernando Toy collided at the 250m mark. Chasin' Louie checked off Sweet About Lily approaching the 200m mark. Elite Gift and Oriental Gracie raced wide throughout the event.

Barunga Bullet was slow to begin. Rim Of Fire went up with the lids at box rise, stumbled and was very slow to begin (8L).

Indominus crossed out soon after the start checking Barunga Bullet and Wrong Decision. Indominus and Barunga Bullet collided at the 250m mark. Indominus crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark checking Patricia Mary and severely checking Barunga Bullet and Gypsy Kiowa. Wrong Decision checked off Darley Park at the 150m mark.

Dust Up and Goorawin collided soon after the start. Awakened Dragon and Standing Bear collided soon after the start. Goorawin faltered at the 250m mark and tailed off. Maggie Moonshine, Kid Winslow and Awakened Dragon collided at the 250m mark. Maggie Moonshine and Kid Winslow collided several times approaching the 200m mark checking both greyhounds. 

Goorawin underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Yeppy Allen and Parry Allen were slow to begin.

Jiggly Wiggly crossed in soon after the start. Go Pro and Further Dreamer collided soon after the start and again approaching the 200m mark. Dirty Stella and Jiggly Wiggly collided several times from the 150m mark to the 100m mark. Jiggly Wiggly checked off Dirty Stella approaching the 50m mark and crossed to the rail.
