Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Stewards questioned Trainer, Ms. Vanessa Johnson regarding the number of starts Remember Jimmy has had over the past week - being 3 starts in 7 days. Ms Johnson stated that the greyhound hasn't raced consecutive days. Ms Johnson also stated the greyhound was checked regularly.  Stewards noted Ms. Johnson's explanation. Further, Stewards obtained a pre-race sample for analysis.

Catch Me Spolly went up with the lids and was slow to begin.  Black Catani was slow to begin. 

Aquileia and Yuken Win collided soon after the start.  Black Catani checked off Nan Moffitt on the first turn.  Barbie Jiggs raced wide on the home turn.

Praise Me was quick to begin.  Victa Libby was very slow to begin (4 lengths).

Raining Rainbows and Bomber's Queen collided soon after the start.  Madalia Daisy raced wide in the home straight.

Axel Boy Jose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion across nose area.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Fifteen Love underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Awesome Shae and Bolshoi Ballet collided soon after the start.  Bolshoi Ballet faltered soon after the start and tailed off.  Awesome Shae checked off Black Que soon after the start.  Ridgeline and Dundee Prince collided soon after the start.  Awesome Shae checked off Ridgeline on the first turn. Bolshoi Ballet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left flexor tendon injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  

Sense was quick to begin.  Alfie Mikado and Silver Sky were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to Mrs C. McMillan the trainer of Silver Sky and issued a warning reminding her of her responsibilities when boxing her greyhound in accordance with GAR 51(6).

Spolly's Beauty was slow to begin.

Piccolo Fratello, Justin Rose and Spolly's Beauty collided approaching the first turn checking Justin Rose. Piccolo Fratello, Mini Fernando and Spolly's Beauty collided on the first turn checking Mini Fernando.  Piccolo Fratello and Zoe's Intention collided on the home turn.  Aston Cabernet checked off Frankie Fever in the home straight.  Piccolo Fratello, Spolly's Beauty and Zoe's Intention collided approaching the winning post.
