Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Niele, trainer of My Lil' Angel, regarding the scratching of that greyhound from box 2 when Mr. Niele also trains My Mate Wally, which started from box 1. Mr Niele stated that My Lil' Angel had sustained a webbing injury and was unfit to race. Stewards noted his comments.
My Mate Wally and Cyclone Zara were quick to begin. Magic Panther went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground (3 lengths). My Mate Wally and Magic Panther collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.
A post-race sample was taken from Cyclone Zara - the winner of the event.
