Fast Freddie lost ground soon after the start.
Burning Express checked off Black Katniss approaching the first turn. Why Not Kez checked off Miss Winks on the first turn. Go Slow Goldy, Chachi Arcola, Cairnlea Abby and Miss Winks collided on the first turn checking Go Slow Goldy and Miss Winks. Go Slow Goldy and Burning Express collided approaching the home turn. Go Slow Goldy checked off Chachi Arcola on the home turn. Go Slow Goldy and Cairnlea Abby collided repeatedly entering the home straight. Why Not Kez and Fast Freddie raced wide in the home straight.
Fast Freddie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
