Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Track Curator Mr. J. Ryan advised that the track was deep harrowed on the 6th of May 2020.

Quintana Jive and Patchie Two Dots collided soon after the start. Fab Potion and Jerry Buzzard collided at the 250m mark checking Fab Potion, severely checking Jerry Buzzard. Quintana Jive and Patchie Two Dots collided at the 250m mark. Ragin' Outcast and Patchie Two Dots collided approaching the winning post.

Mr Waylon Kee, handler of Ragin' Outcast was issued a warning for failing to obey starters orders pursuant to GAR 51(4).

Steel Magnolia, Monaco Lights and Last Night were slow to begin.

Steel Magnolia checked off Monaco Lights soon after the start. Meehan Pebbles and Springvale Misty collided several times soon after the start. Meehan Pebbles, Sprinvale Misty, Mac's Mayhem and Superior Breeze collided at the 250m mark and again approaching the 200m mark. Mac's Mayhem and Superior Breeze collided at the 100m mark. Springvale Misty checked off Meehan Pebbles at the 100m mark. Last Night checked off Superior Breeze approaching the winning post.

Mac's Mayhem underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a torn nail on the left foreleg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards questioned Representitive, Mr. Jonathon Mullen regarding the number of starts Superior Merlot has had over the past month - 8 starts in 28 days. Mr Mullen stated the greyhound is checked regularly, only exercises the dog on a walking machine between races and does not trial the greyhound. Stewards noted Mr Mullen explanation.

Moodswing Tarny, Silver Compass and Murray Nan collided soon after the start. Thirty Red and Superior Merlot collided at the 300m mark. Silver Compass and Murray Nan collided at the 150m mark. Levi's Me Boy faltered at the 150m mark and lost ground.

Levi's Me Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left quadriceps. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards questioned Trainer, Mr Jason Formosa regarding the number of starts Kareda Gold has had over the past month - 8 starts in 28 days. Mr Formosa stated that he checked his greyhounds for soundness every morning following a race start, doesn't exercise the dog in long training runs and rarely trials once the greyhound is fit for racing. Stewards noted Mr Formosa's explanation.

Time Twister – New declared weight of 35.0kg, last raced at 33.6kg.

Yondu, Superior Pal and Super Switch collided soon after the start. My Victoria and Tinker Bess collided soon after the start. My Victoria, Knocka Bott and Tinker Bess collided at the 300m mark. Knocka Bott and Time Twister collided several times from the 50m mark to the winning post.

Super Switch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising and a laceration to the neck. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Following on from their investigation on Monday, 4 May 2020 with Ms C. McMillan, Stewards monitored the behaviour of Tinker Bess in the catching pen for this event. Stewards further spoke to Ms C. McMillan today and directed that the greyhound must wear an aggession muzzle in future events.

Red Potion crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Cal's Girl and Lucky Paws. Cal's Girl, Red Potion and Crystal Bling collided approaching the 250m mark checking Red Potion. Lucky Paws and Titanium Lad collided several times from the 250m mark to the 150m mark. Crystal Bling checked off Cal's Girl at the 250m mark. Flaming Fabio and Crystal Bling collided at the 50m mark.

Sense checked off Black Rose Texas soon after the start. Black Rose Texas and Angry Answer collided at the 200m mark checking Angry Answer. Jaggered Stone and Angry Answer collided at the 150m mark. Jaggered Stone and Black Texas Rose collided at the 100m mark. Jaggered Stone crossed to the outside at the 50m mark.

My Dark Rose and Jack's Gone Wild collided approaching the 250m mark. Clan Mcmillan and Jack's Gone Wild collided at the 200m mark. Tolerant and Bernmar Junior collided at the 200m mark. Ruby's Rosa and Incy Valley collided at the 200m mark. Bernmar Junior brushed the running rail at the 100m mark.

Soho Girl, Spring Nugget and Ryben Jack collided soon after the start. Billy's Missile and Inter Joe collided at the 150m mark. Tiki Monteya faltered at the 150m mark and lost ground as a result. Spring Nugget and Sonny Micawber collided at the 100m mark.

Tiki Monteya underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right back muscle and right triangle muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Soho Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suspected exercise induced ataxia(PEDS). No day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr M. Davison the trainer of Soho Girl and advised him that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.

Maidenpool and Flying Solo were slow to begin.

Maggie Moonshine checked off Golden Gift soon after the start checking Where's Success. Lektra Elsa, Polly's Varcoe and Golden Gift collided at the 250m mark. Polly's Varcoe crossed to the outside at the 200m mark. Where's Success and Our Bravo Rose collided at the 200m mark. Maggie Moonshine and Golden Gift collided at the 100m mark. Maggie Moonshine crossed to the outside at the 50m mark.
