Krisbar Immy and Magic Vogue was quick to begin.
Trixie's Rocket and Manila Sprite collided soon after the start. Episode and Saucy Sav collided soon after the start. Manila Sprite and Saucy Sav collided soon after the start. Limburg Patrick and Krisbar Immy collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Saucy Sav checked off Limburg Patrick on the first turn. Quick Finance, Episode and Trixie's Rocket collided approaching the home turn. Episode visibly eased approaching the winning post and turned its head inwards.
Episode underwent a post race veterinary examination - no apparent injury report. Stewards spoke to representative Ms K. Smith regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Episode was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Smith pleaded guilty to the charge, Episode is suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
