Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful heatlh screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Your Queen - Late scratching at 11:08am under GAR 37 (4) on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists, before any future nomination will be accepted.  

Patchie Two Dots was slow to begin. 

Top Asset underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right wrist and right monkey muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Steven Waycott, the representative for Top Asset regarding the greyhound's performance over the concluding stages of the event. After taking into consideration the injuries sustained during the running of the event Stewards issued Mr Waycott with a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  

Another Attempt and Dami Jack were slow to begin.

Dami Jack checked off Wow Anna at the 250m mark.

Forever Franky – New declared weight of 29.2kg, last raced at 28.0kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Forever Franky.

What Feeling was slow to begin. Forever Franky crossed to the outside at the 250m mark. What Feeling checked off Rossi at the 150m mark.

Rossi underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Steven Van Oirschot, the trainer of Rossi and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start.

Electric Mick and Ruby's Rosa were slow to begin.

Mister Wingard checked off Castle Sween at the 200m mark.

Castle Sween underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness in both monkey muscles. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Cabernet and Angry Answer collided at the 250m mark.

Aston Cabernet checked off Angry Answer at the 175m mark.

Banjo Plato – Late scratching at 7.50am when Mr Damien Belsham reported the greyhound to have a leg injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Mi Roma – New declared weight of 30.9kg, last raced at 29.6kg.

Mumma's Bear was slow to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Slick Paws, winner of the event.

Monaco Lights began awkwardly and stumbled at box rise.

Cee Me Snoop checked off Major Winston at the 150m mark.

Pink Tiara – Late scratching at 10.34pm on 14 April 2020 when Mr Brendan De Rozario reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Rio Hustler was slow to begin.

Chasin' Bobbi and Don's Scolari collided at the 300m mark.

Elegant Malt and Rio Hustler collided at the 250m mark.

Elegant Malt, Banjo Sally and Don's Scolari collided on the 100m mark checking Elegant Malt and Banjo Sally.

Precisely and Love A Talk were slow to begin.

Precisely and Maddox Bale collided at the 50m mark.

Maddox Bale checked off Awesome Asset at the 50m mark.

Inter Phillip and Moyarra Eclipse collided approaching the 150m mark.

Moyarra Eclipse underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a suspected right tarsal fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Snap Decision was slow to begin.

My Dark Rose and Snap Decision collided at the 250m mark.

Good Mate Rusty and Snap Decision collided numerous times from the 200m mark to the 50m mark.

Soda Ashlee and Dreamliner were slow to begin.

Heza Real Deal faltered at the 250m mark and collided with Soda Ashlee. Heza Real Deal subsequently tailed off as a result.

Heza Real Deal underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
