Ice Skates was quick to begin.
Bombora Rocket was slow to begin.
Vigorous and Stride For Pride collided on the first turn. Dyna Carl and Rotarua collided on the first turn. Stride For Pride and Rotarua collided on the second turn. Ice Skates and Rotarura collided on the second turn. Ice Skates and Dyna Carl collided in the home straight. Stride For Pride marred Dyna Carl in the home straight.
Stride For Pride underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and right hind toe abrasion. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Mangion, the trainer of Stride For Pride regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Stride For Pride was charged with marring. Mr. Mangion pleaded guilty to the charge, Stride For Pride is suspended for 3 months at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
