Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Track Curator Mr. M. Pell advised that the track was medium harrowed on 15th April 2020.

Mr. J. Mangion failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Hitomi Bale for racing. Mr. Mangion was issued a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2)

Nicko Dancer - Late scratching at 13:40 due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stagger Bott and On Patrol were slow to begin.

On Patrol and Too Far Bro collided soon after the start checking On Patrol. Hillbilly Bone and Too Far Bro collided on the first turn. Black Booker, Hillbilly Bone and On Patrol collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Stagger Bott and Too Far Bro collided approaching the home turn. Gemma Reid raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight.

Black Booker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle, wrist and shoulder. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Aerolithology and Chasin' Donuts collided on the first turn. Ben Doon and Refueled collided on the first turn. Ben Doon contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Librarian raced wide on the home turn.

Ben Doon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hind toe. No stand down period was imposed.

Steorra, Dreamy Eyes and Quicker Than Joe collided on the first turn checking Steorra and Dreamy Eyes. Work Zone and Southwood Ace collided entering the home straight. Cryptic and Quicker Than Joe collided entering the home straight.

Shooters Ali and Berringa Blue were slow to begin.

Berringa Blue galloped on the heels of Run Fast Maggie on the first turn checking Run Fast Maggie and Berringa Blue. Shooters Ali raced wide in the home straight.

Run Fast Maggie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing to the right hind foot. A 5 day stand down perios was imposed.

Electric Hippy and Meehan Poppy were slow to begin.

Zipping Oliver, Chasing Beers, Pandora's Proof and Meehan Poppy collided on the first turn checking Chasing Beers and Pandora's Proof. Zipping Oliver and Meehan Poppy collided on the second turn. Meehan Poppy and Pyrenees Petraca collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Electric Hippy checked off Zipping Oliver on the home turn.

Uncle Rico – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound tonight and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Ice Skates was quick to begin.

Bombora Rocket was slow to begin.

Vigorous and Stride For Pride collided on the first turn. Dyna Carl and Rotarua collided on the first turn. Stride For Pride and Rotarua collided on the second turn. Ice Skates and Rotarura collided on the second turn. Ice Skates and Dyna Carl collided in the home straight. Stride For Pride marred Dyna Carl in the home straight.

Stride For Pride underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and right hind toe abrasion. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Mangion, the trainer of Stride For Pride regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Stride For Pride was charged with marring. Mr. Mangion pleaded guilty to the charge, Stride For Pride is suspended for 3 months at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cracked Soda - Late scratching at 14:15 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. S. Quinlan was fined $100.

This Time Bro and Rollin' In were slow to begin.

Precisely and Moonyeen collided approaching the first turn checking Precisely. Silky Rose, Moonyeen and Rollin' In collided on the first turn checking Jack's Gone Wild. Silky Rose raced wide on the home turn.

Brave Hearted was slow to begin.

Rose Fawn and Nordic Prince collided on the first turn. Brave Hearted raced wide entering the home straight.
