Tekidanto - Late scratching at 13:35 when Ms. A. Scott reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Janray Lucky One was slow to begin.
Janray Lucky One, Blue Addition and Jitterbug Witch raced wide entering the home straight. Jackie Jai turned it's head outwards and visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Jackie Jai underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind toe injury, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. A. Debattista regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Jackie Jai was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Jackie Jai must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
