Hard At It was slow to begin.
Zipping Solo raced wide on the home turn. Zipping Solo and Dundas Houdini collided heavily entering the home straight. Dundas Houdini turned its head outwards entering the home straight and collided with Zipping Solo severely checking Zipping Solo. Dundas Houdini and Hard At It collided in the home straight.
Zipping Solo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury and a right triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Dundas Houdini underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mr Evan Keene, the trainer of Dundas Houdini regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Dundas Houdini was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Evan Keene pleaded guilty to the charge, Dundas Houdini is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
