Due to government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 4, followed by 4 & 8 for all races.

Track Curator Mr. J. Loudon advised that the track was lightly harrowed on Friday 20th of March.

Pandora's Hope, Wishly Bale and Chillout George were slow to begin.

Windburn, Double Zero and Chillout George collided approaching the first turn checking Double Zero and Chillout George. Pandora's Hope checked off Double Zero approaching the first turn and lost ground. Ignatious Bale and Chillout George raced wide on the home turn. Pandora's Hope checked off Double Zero in the home straight.

It was noted that muzzle of Double Zero became dislodged during the running of the event.

Olin Bale, Xeron Bale and Paisley Bale were quick to begin. 

Olin Bale, Nana Rose, Paisley Bale and Xeron Bale collided on the first turn checking Olin Bale and Silent Oscar. Jimmy Cheesecake and Paisley Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Jimmy Cheesecake which collided with Silent Oscar and Baileys And Milk. Nana Rose raced wide on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Xeron Bale - the winner of the event.

Vanna Bale was quick to begin. Mick's Kimmy was very slow to begin (3L). 

Laughed A Lot and Kudos Bale collided on the first turn checking Kudos Bale. Laughed A Lot and Kudos Bale raced wide on the home turn.

Big Cam and Marshall Flyer were quick to begin.

Ragin' Comet and Go Bezza collided on the first turn checking Go Bezza. Devil Den and Marshall Flyer collided on the first turn checking Marshall Flyer which lost ground. Ragin' Comet and Oriental Gracie raced wide on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Devil Den- the winner of the event.

Marshall Flyer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg sesamoid injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Distracted, Slingshot Lilham, Natsu Bale and Lancashire collided approaching the first turn checking Slingshot Lilham, Natsu Bale and Lancashire. Slingshot Lilham, Natsu Bale and Lancashire collided on the first turn checking Natsu Bale. Big Papi and Miss Murino raced wide on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Aston Select - the winner of the event.

Tashendo - Late scratching at 4.54pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to diarrhoea. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

My Hardaway Hana was quick to begin. Dust Up and Kid Winslow were slow to begin.

Dust Up checked off Kid Winslow approaching the first turn. Kid Winslow checked off Dashing Pedro on the first turn causing Kid Winslow to fall. Broken Pieces and Dust Up raced wide on the home turn.

Kid Winslow underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg triangle muscle injury A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Maidenpool, Zambora Club, My Lil' Angel and Sense collided on the first turn checking Maidenpool, Zambora Club and Sense. My Lil' Angel and Maidenpool raced wide on the home turn.

Tiggerlong Grace was quick to begin. 

Yondu checked off Last Outlaw soon after the start and lost ground. Easter Orchid and Yondu raced wide on the home turn.

Yondu underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to handler Mark Gidding who failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Yondu for racing.  A warning was issued to M. Gidding pursuant to GAR 46 (2)

Lily's Lad- Late scratching at 10.52 am with Steward's permission. 

Hard At It was slow to begin.

Zipping Solo raced wide on the home turn. Zipping Solo and Dundas Houdini collided heavily entering the home straight. Dundas Houdini turned its head outwards entering the home straight and collided with Zipping Solo severely checking Zipping Solo. Dundas Houdini and Hard At It collided in the home straight.

Zipping Solo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury and a right triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Dundas Houdini underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mr Evan Keene, the trainer of Dundas Houdini regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Dundas Houdini was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Evan Keene pleaded guilty to the charge, Dundas Houdini is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
