Boycey Road and Light The Track collided approaching the first turn. Express Angel faltered on the home turn and lost ground as a result. Shaggy Rose tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Shaggy Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a deep laceration over the left elbow. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Express Angel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right achilles tendon injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Boycey Road underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Dynamic Ross - the winner of the event.
