Stewards spoke to Mr Clive McLennan due to his late arrival to the track and was issued a warning.

Sigrid The Proud was quick to begin. Bonnie Girl and Jack's Gone Wild was slow to begin. Lektra Loppy was very slow to begin (3L).

Dinner Roll and Sigrid The Proud collided soon after the start. Ashby Star checked off Jack's Gone Wild collided on the first turn and collided with Dinner Roll which fell, severely checking Bonnie Girl. Jack's Gone Wild, Sigrid The Proud and Isotope collided approaching the home turn. Murder Nova and Lektra Loopy collided approaching the home turn. Lektra Loopy attempted to race wide for the length of the home straight checking Dinner Roll. Lektra Loopy crossed to the rail in the home straight.

Ashby Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination was found to have a left monkey muscle injury A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to both Mr Boehmke and Mr Meyer regarding no handler being engaged for the greyhound Murder Nova. After speaking with both parties it appeared a break down in communication occurred regarding the engagement, and another participant was engaged to handle at late notice. Stewards reminded both parties of their responsibilities to engage, and fulfil engagements for handling greyhounds.
