Winslow Lodge was slow to begin.
Blackpool Pantha shifted in soon after the start checking Rampant Munster and Refueled. Uno Hostile, Jagora Bale and Blackpool Pantha collided on the first turn checking Jagora Bale and Blackpool Pantha. Rampant Munster, Refueled and Blackpool Pantha collided approaching the home turn checking Rampant Munster. Refueled checked off Blackpool Pantha approaching the home turn. Rampant Munster and Winslow Lodge collided approaching the home turn. Hard At It galloped on Uno Hostile approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Uno Hostile, Blackpool Pantha, Hard At It and Jagora Bale collided approaching the home turn. Uno Hostile checked off Blackpool Pantha in the home straight. Rampant Munster pulled up in the home straight.
Rampant Munster underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder joint injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr B Jones, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Rampant Munster was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Rampant Munster must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted
