Booma Mikado, Lektra Stroke and Blade Bale were slow to begin. Rival Josh and Chloe's Hand collided on the first turn checking Chloe's Hand. Booma Mikado and Blade Bale collided on the first turn. Stewards spoke to Ms Maria Barber, the trainer of Booma Mikado regarding the greyhounds poor performance this evening. Ms Barber stated that with the greyhound missing the start and being in a later race this may have affected the greyhounds performance tonight, she also stated that the greyhound had trialled here last week running a time of 22.39. Stewards noted her explanation and directed that samples be taken.
Booma Mikado was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
