Cool Maxine was quick to begin. Miss Jules and Sir Hugo collided soon after the start. Miss Jules contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost considerable ground. Tricky Ace was checked off Simply Electric on the first turn checking Jane Eliza and Sir Hugo. Coulta Rock, Sir Hugo and Jane Eliza collided approaching the home turn checking Jesse Que and Jane Eliza. Cool Maxine, Coulta Rock and Sir Hugo collided on the home turn checking Sir Hugo, Jane Eliza and Jesse Que. Jesse Que and Jane Eliza collided on the home turn.
Miss Jules was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Due to a malfunction with the semaphore board, fourth placing was not displayed.
