Tex Ribs – New declared weight of 29.7kgs, last raced at 31.0kgs.
Young Jebrynah, Uno Hostile and Mates Rates collided soon after the start. Braemar Sassy checked off Tex Ribs at the 250m mark. Braemar Sassy and Aston Malibu collided at the 200m mark. Young Jebrynah, Manila Mist and Uno Hostile collided at the 150m mark. Braemar Sassy faltered at the 120m mark and lost ground. Young Jebrynah and Manila Mist collided several times approaching the winning post.
Braemar Sassy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
