Steward's Report
Magical Ruby was quick to begin.
All Inn Tilly and Bobby's Fox were slow to begin.
Victory Chico, Tan Back Tan and Husky Freckle collided approaching the first turn checking Tan Back Tan and Husky Freckle. All Inn Tilly galloped on the heels of Victory Chico on the first turn checking Victory Chico and Husky Freckle. Bobby's Fox and Hillbilly Jay collided in the home straight. Tan Back Tan and Backhand Basile collided in the home straight. Magical Ruby turned its head and visibly eased in the home straight.
Magical Ruby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Mr D Boots regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Magical Ruby was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Boots pleaded guilty to the charge, Magical Ruby must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
