In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 33 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.0 degrees. 

Crown Knox was slow to begin. Can't Spell was very slow to begin (3L).

Kareda Queen and Fyodor Bale collided approaching the first turn. Call Me Silk and Tinker Cher collided approaching the home turn checking Call Me Silk and Ocean Star. Hi Calling eased approaching the home turn and collided with Fyodor Bale. Ocean Star checked off Hi Calling on the home turn. Call Me Silk checked off Ocean Star entering the home straight checking Kareda Queen. Hi Calling and Tinker Cher collided in the home straight.

Hi Calling underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury and a right sartorius muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr C Trenerne the trainer of Hi Calling regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Hi Calling was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Trenerne pleaded guilty to the charge, Hi Calling is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aerolithology, Tommy Cawbourne and Gracie Blue were slow to begin. Inga Bobby went up with the lids and was slow to begin.

Grime Time Zeus, Cherokee Cash and Darcy's Crystal collided approaching the first turn checking Darcy's Crystal. Mystical Twist faulted and fell approaching the first turn severely checking Aerolithology. Grime Time Zeus checked off Cherokee Cash on the first turn checking Darcy's Crystal. Cherokee Cash and Gracie Blue collided several times approaching the home turn checking Gracie Blue, Grime Time Zeus and Darcy's Crystal. Inga Bobby and Grime Time Zeus collided entering the home straight and in the home straight checking Grime Time Zeus. Grime Time Zeus and Tommy Cawbourne collided in the home straight and approaching the winning post.

Mystical Twist underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr C Hughes, the handler of Gracie Blue and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.

Sparky Girl and Black Katniss were slow to begin.

Tiggerlong Back, Fried White Bait and Yanderra Azalia collided soon after the start. Black Katniss and Tiggerlong Back collided on the first turn checking Black Katniss and Fried White Bait. Tiggerlong Back galloped on Yanderra Azalia on the first turn checking Black Katniss, Tiggerlong Back and Yanderra Azalia causing Yanderra Azalia to stumble. Red Taltarni and Gemma Blue collided approaching the home turn.

Oriental Gracie – Late scratching at 12.16pm when Ms T Walsh reported the greyhound to have dehydration (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jagora Bale was quick to begin. Maximum Jodie and Young Jebrynah collided on the first turn. Aston Rose raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Simmo Gogolac and Young Jebrynah collided several times in the home straight. Inga Assalt raced wide in the home straight.

Dorellie Love underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.

You Rippa Pippa underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8 You Rippa Pippa was found to have a left wrist injury and a left monkey muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Our Airman,Star Fever, Zipping Hazel and Sisco Bella collided soon after the start. Sisco Bella galloped on Zipping Hazel on the first turn checking Our Airman, Star Fever and Black Canvas. So Tough raced wide in the home straight.

Due to significate drop in the temperature the stewards deemed the meeting to be no longer hot weather affected.

Pinnaroo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadriceps muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr N Hunt the trainer of Pinnaroo regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Pinnaroo must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
