Steward's Report
Super Attitude crossed out soon after the start checking Bluwy, Split Pea and Mister Mercury. Mahjong Buddy checked off Run Like Rhys soon after the start. Split Pea and Mahjong Buddy collided approaching the first turn. Mahjong Buddy galloped on Bluwy approaching the home straight severely checking both greyhounds, checking Split Pea. Bluwy and Mahjong Buddy collided entering the home straight. Mahjong Buddy marred Bluwy several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Super Attitude raced wide in the home straight.
Mahjong Buddy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left front foot. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs D. Selleck, the representative of Mahjong Buddy regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Mahjong Buddy was charged with marring. Mrs Selleck pleaded guilty to the charge, Mahjong Buddy is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Wyoming Express - winner of the event.
