Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Our Harriet.
Dancing Rose stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin. Chill Out Pedro, All Inn Tilly and Dartin' Through collided soon after the start. Hey There Patty, All Inn Tilly, So Criminal, Dartin' Through and Chill Out Pedro collided approaching the first turn checking Dartin' Through and Dancing Rose severely checking So Criminal which pulled up causing All Inn Tilly to contact the running rail and fall as a result. Kareda Queen eased on the first turn and pulled up. Dartin' Through and Dancing Rose collided several times on the home turn, entering the home straight and in the home straight.
Kareda Queen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Mark Giddings, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Kareda Queen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Giddings pleaded not guilty to the charge, Kareda Queen was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
So Criminal underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist fracture. So Criminal was humanely euthanased.
All Inn Tilly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left hind limb. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Following this event Stewards walked the track in the area where All Inn Tilly fell and deemed the track satisfactory for racing.
