In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 27.8 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.3 degrees. 

Bobby's Fox and Husky Freckle were slow to begin. Backhand Basile, Hillbilly Jay and On Patrol collided approaching the first turn. All Inn Mia and Cryptic collided approaching the first turn checking All Inn Mia. Husky Freckle, Maddox Bale and Backhand Basile collided on the first turn severely checking Maddox Bale. Husky Freckle and Backhand Basile collided approaching the home turn checking Husky Freckle. Maddox Bale clipped the heels off Bobby's Fox in the home straight.

Dancing Rose stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin. Chill Out Pedro, All Inn Tilly and Dartin' Through collided soon after the start. Hey There Patty, All Inn Tilly, So Criminal, Dartin' Through and Chill Out Pedro collided approaching the first turn checking Dartin' Through and Dancing Rose severely checking So Criminal which pulled up causing All Inn Tilly to contact the running rail and fall as a result. Kareda Queen eased on the first turn and pulled up. Dartin' Through and Dancing Rose collided several times on the home turn, entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Kareda Queen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Mark Giddings, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Kareda Queen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Giddings pleaded not guilty to the charge, Kareda Queen was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

So Criminal underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist fracture. So Criminal was humanely euthanased.

All Inn Tilly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left hind limb. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Following this event Stewards walked the track in the area where All Inn Tilly fell and deemed the track satisfactory for racing.

Cullquin Marcel was slow to begin. Plain Name and Zambezi Icon collided soon after the start. Cullquin Marcel and Plain name collided approaching the first turn. Rimrock Sally, Oriental Sugar and Cullquin Marcel collided on the first turn. Oriental Sugar, Cullquin Marcel and Plain Name collided on the first turn checking Plain Name. Burrawonga Girl, Bombardier King and Cast collided soon after the start checking Cast. Wendy Maria and Dyna Ringo collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn. Wendy Maria, Dyna Ringo and Burrawonga Girl collided approaching the home turn checking Burrawonga Girl. Burrawonga Girl and Bombardier King collided in the home straight checking Burrawonga Girl.

Cash Or Card was quick to begin. All Inn Tara and Luka's Choice collided soon after the start. Sky Rising, Kirabilli Poppy and Limburg Patrick collided approaching the first turn checking Kirabilli Poppy which stumbled as a result. Limburg Patrick and Deep Blue collided on the first turn checking Limburg Poppy. Deep Blue raced wide entering the home straight. Cash Or Card and Kraken Roger collided entering the home straight. Cash Or Card and All Inn Tara collided approaching the winning post.

Sonoma Icon, Sweet Harriet and Cracked Soda were slow to begin. Winlock Jetty and Cracked Soda collided approaching the first turn checking Winlock Jetty. Sonoma Icon, Sweet Harriet, Galloping Nikki and Cracked Soda collided approaching the first turn checking Sweet Harriet. Sonoma Icon and Galloping Nikki collided on the first turn. Pontiac Icon and Winlock Jetty collided approaching the winning post.
