Dusty Express and Zeal The Moment collided soon after the start checking Zeal The Moment. Class Action and Elite Mia collided on the first turn checking Elite Mia and Zeal The Moment. Spring Walter checked off Aston Gripen on the first turn, faltered and pulled up as a result. Dusty Express turned it's head outwards and marred Class Action in the home straight. Class Action turned it's head inwards and marred Dusty Express in the home straight.
Spring Walter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left stifle injury. A stand down period of 90 days was imposed.
