Steward's Report
Sonoma Icon was slow to begin.
Queen Harriet was quick to begin.
Yanderra Azalia checked off Buddy Boy on the first turn checking Sonoma Icon and Black Katniss. Triple Double raced wide on the home turn. Cascade Guru marred Queen Harriet in the home straight. Cascade Guru and You Blast collided approaching the winning post.
Cascade Guru underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind toe and a left pencil muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Selkrig, the trainer of Cascade Guru regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Cascade Guru was charged with marring. Mr. Selkrig pleaded guilty to the charge, Cascade Guru is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Triple Double, winner of the event.
