Darcy's Crystal and Och Eye Mum collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Rock In Rio and Mic Drop collided approaching the first turn: severely checking Mic Drop who lost ground as a result. Deal's Up checked off Darcy's Crystal on the first turn. Rock In Rio and Darcy's Crystal collided on the first turn, checking Rock In Rio. Och Eye Mum raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
Mic Drop underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right and left foreleg deltoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
