Rock In Rio – New declared weight of 35.0 kgs, last raced at 33.9 kgs.

Maximum Jodie and Hardaway Samara was quick to begin.  Riverdale Bluey and Deal's Up were slow to begin.

Rock In Rio and Mic Drop collided approaching the first turn: severely checking Mic Drop who lost ground as a result.  Deal's Up checked off Darcy's Crystal on the first turn.  Rock In Rio and Darcy's Crystal collided on the first turn, checking Rock In Rio.  Och Eye Mum raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. 

Mic Drop underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right and left foreleg deltoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Cosmic Brew galloped on the heels of Master Cosmic soon after the start, severely checking Master Cosmic.  Haddi Bale, Belt Up Ronny and First Order collided approaching the first turn.  Cosmic Brew and Mr. Lonely collided on the first turn, checking Mr. Lonely who lost ground as a result.  Master Cosmic and First Order raced wide in the home straight. 

Mr. Lonely underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg shoulder injury and right foreleg carpal sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Belt Up Ronny - the winner of the event.

Bright Blue checked off Lap It Up soon after the start.  Lap it Up and Bright Blue collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Standby Blue, Scarlatto and Lap It Up collided on the first turn, checking Standby Blue.  Scarlatto and Bright Blue collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Standby Blue checked off Bright Blue approaching the home turn.  Lap It Up checked off Slingshot Lilham in the home straight. 

Secret Package was slow to begin. 

Know Success and Fernando's Flare collided soon after the start, checking Know Success.  Crackerjack Nath, Fernando's Flare and Wilbury collided on the first turn, checking Crackerjack Nath and Minter Bee Star.  By Your Side checked off Suvla Bay on the first turn, checking Secret Package. Richmond Flyer and Flash Angel collided soon after the start, checking Flash Angel.  I'm All One, Richmond Flyer and Flash Angel collided on the first turn, checking Richmond Flyer and Flash Angel. Betty Bowl and Mema Wibble collided on the home turn.  Mema Wibble crossed out entering the home straight and raced wide in the home straight.  Pink Tiara raced wide in the home straight. 

Sedaka and Saintly Jack collided approaching the first turn, checking Saintly Jack. Medina and Buddy Goes Bang collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Calendar Boy tired over the concluding stages of the race. 

Calendar Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right hind webbing abrasions. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. C. Hughes regarding the performance of Calendar Boy in this event. Mr Hughes explained that the greyhound was returning to racing from having a toe removed from the right hind. Mr Hughes added that the greyhound had not trialled or worn tape prior to this event and that he will be closely monitoring the greyhounds upcoming performances. 

Scenic Warrior, Slingshot Style and Ringcraft collided soon after the start, checking Slingshot Style and Ringcraft.  Magic Trap, Blackpool Funk, Quick Transition and Winlock Slim collided on the first turn, checking Blackpool Funk and Winlock Slim.  Winlock Slim and Ringcraft collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Blackpool Funk and Ringcraft collided approaching the home turn, checking Ringcraft. 

Boston Quay and Breakout were slow to begin.
