A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Alessio.
Golden Charm went up with the lids and lost ground (4L). Aston Alessio was quick to begin. Riverdale Bear was slow to begin.
Bella Patch checked off Inga Lewis approaching the first turn. Riverdale Bear and Fairytale Rock collided on the first turn checking Fairytale Rock. Bella Patch and Golden Charm collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Fairytale Rock galloped on Inga Lewis approaching the home turn.
Bella Patch underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. R. Fisher regarding the performance of Bella Patch in this event. Mr Fisher stated that he would be consulting with the owners regarding the greyhound's immediate racing future.
