Bella Patch checked off Inga Lewis approaching the first turn. Riverdale Bear and Fairytale Rock collided on the first turn checking Fairytale Rock. Bella Patch and Golden Charm collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Fairytale Rock galloped on Inga Lewis approaching the home turn.

Bella Patch underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. R. Fisher regarding the performance of Bella Patch in this event. Mr Fisher stated that he would be consulting with the owners regarding the greyhound's immediate racing future.

Sugar Maple and Silver Doo were quick to begin. Inga Bobby and Tommy Cawbourne were slow to begin.

Silver Doo, Wolf's Ace and Mystical Twist collided approaching the first turn checking Wolf's Ace, Mystical Twist and Inga Bobby and severely checking Silver Doo which fell. Dorellie Love crossed to the rail approaching the home turn checking Wolf's Ace and Mystical Twist.

Silver Doo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury and right hock injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

MIss Winks underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left fore leg, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Yaala Eclipse – Late scratching at 1.05pm when Trainer Mr K. Lloyd reported the greyhound to have an illness. (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
