Bobby Ray and Akhenaten collided soon after the start checking Bobby Ray. Run Like Rhys and Sam I'm Mikado collided soon after the start. Dundee Ace, Bobby Ray and Akhenaten collided on the first turn checking Bobby Ray. Run Like Rhys galloped on Akhenaten on the first turn. Akhenaten raced wide in the home straight. Run Like Rhys and Sam I'm Mikado collided approaching the winning post.
Sam I'm Mikado underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
