Miss Eloise and Two Anns collided in the home straight. Miss Eloise marred Two Anns approaching the winning post.

Miss Eloise underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr G. Howell, the trainer of Miss Eloise regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Miss Eloise was charged with marring. Mr Howell pleaded not guilty to the charge, Miss Eloise was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

My Girl Mel was quick to begin. Spolly Bear and Big Bro Zesta were slow to begin. 

Spolly Bear checked off Grumpy Ray on the first turn. Lady Ruby and Grumpy Ray collided approaching the home turn checking Grumpy Ray and causing Grumpy Ray to contact the running rail. Big Bro Zesta and Spolly Bear collided on the home turn. Big Bro Zesta and Grumpy Ray collided several times in the home straight.

Grumpy Ray underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have minor lacerations to the right shoulder and left hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Paddy Ray - Late scratching at 10.55am due to weight variation(GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer A. Ashworth was fined $100.

Tiger Spolly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have shin soreness on the right foreleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Yogi Mikado underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12. Yogi Mikado was found to have right groin and right stifle injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
