My Gem turned in the box and took no comptetitive part in the event. Madalia Daisy was slow to begin. Parabellum, It's All Luck and Louranda collided soon after the start checking It's All Luck. Parabellum was checked off Rockin' Richard on the first turn. Madalia Daisy raced wide on the first turn. Parabellum and Louranda collided approaching the home turn severely checking Louranda.
Madalia Daisy underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. M. Campbell the trainer of My Gem regarding its performance in this event after the greyhound turned in the box and took no competitive part in the event. Stewards deemed the performance of My Gem unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, My Gem must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
