Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Flaming Express on 15/10/2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
An out of competition sample was taken from Steel Magnolia on 15/10/2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Evi Bale was quick to begin. Blackpool Ace was slow to begin.
Evi Bale turned it's head inwards soon after the start. Steel Magnolia and My Name's Wally collided soon after the start checking Steel Magnolia. Dyna Ringo and Flaming Express collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Ringo, Flaming Express and Steel Magnolia. Flaming Express crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Enya Bale, Dyna Ringo, Tekidanto and Blackpool Ace. Evi Bale visibly eased on the first turn and again on the home turn. Enya Bale and Evi Bale collided entering the home straight. Steel Magnolia raced wide in the home straight.
Evi Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Jack, the trainer of Evi Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Evi Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Jack pleaded not guilty to the charge, Evi Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
