Madame Pookie and Vinnia Bale collided soon after the start.  Late Night Kebab raced wide on the first turn.  

Blueflash Lenny was quick to begin.  Teardrop was slow to begin.

Grumpy Ray, Sisters Lee and Banjo Glitter collided soon after the start.  Teardrop, Any Luck and Cracked Soda collided soon after the start.  Grumpy Ray and Cracked Soda collided approaching the first turn.  Braemar Tatiana checked off Banjo Glitter in the home straight.  

Banjo glitter, Jay Bird and Cracked Soda underwent post-race veterinary examinations after not being secured in the catching pen following this event. 

Banjo Glitter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a minor sand burn to the left hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Jay Bird underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Cracked Soda underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Molly Magic and Cute Patootie were quick to begin.  Top Silk was slow to begin.

Milly Van Allan and Taya Bale collided on the first turn.  Taya Bale and Top Silk raced wide on the first turn.  Molly Magic and Milly Van Allan collided in the back straight.  Cute Patootie checked off Milly Van Allan in the back Straight.  Milly Van Allan and Steinmark collided on the home turn.  Top Silk lost ground in the concluding stages of the event.

Top Silk underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and the left hip. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Navy Storm - Late scratching at 11:02am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a papilloma on the right hind paw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Cool De Beers.

Tuiaki Dora was quick to begin.

Blue Afro checked off Tuiaki Dora soon after the start.  Take A Rose and Seaton Star collided approaching the first turn checking Seaton Star.  Seaton Star stumbled on the first turn; lost ground and subsequentially tailed off.  Cool De Beers and Lucy Gem collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Blue Afro checked off Tuiaki Dora approaching the home turn.  

Seaton Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8, no apparent injury could be detected. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs Ann Ashworth, the trainer of Seaton Star regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Seaton Star must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

She Got Fire was slow to begin.

Reco Tonic, All You Got and Cristalle Blue collided soon after the start.  Lucas Rose, Red Queen and Tennyson Girl collided on the first turn checking Red Queen and severely checking Tennyson Girl.  Red Queen checked off Reco Tonic on the home turn.  Reco Tonic raced wide in the home straight.

Regal Duke - Late scratching at 11:19am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an open wound on the left hind paw.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Monty Python and Superior Pal were slow to begin.

Monty Python contacted the running rail several times approaching the first turn.  Vineyard and Missy Meghan collided approaching the home turn.  Vineyard and Superior Pal collided on the home turn.  Superior Pal and Missy Meghan collided approaching the winning post.  

Monty Python underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left shoulder and left hock. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Braemar Sassy stumbled approaching the first turn; lost ground and subsequently tailed off.  No Problem John and Go Lucy Go collided several times from on the first turn to approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Hello Goodnight crossed to the outside on the home turn.

Braemar Sassy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Gypsy Kiowa - the winner of the event.

Paddy Ray was slow to begin.

Hurricane Dylan, Woodleigh Sal, Parumba Rebel and On Degoey collided soon after the start.  Hurricane Dylan and On Degoey collided approaching the first turn checking Hurricane Dylan and Woodleigh Sal.  Parumba Rebel galloped on On Degoey on the first turn checking Parumba Rebel which galloped on Four Keeps as a result.  Parumba Rebel galloped on Four Keeps on the home turn severely checking Four Keeps which stumbled, lost ground and subsequently tailed off.

Four Keeps underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
