Mother Hannah was quick to begin. Teardrop was slow to begin.
New York Diva and Triskelion collided soon after the start, checking New York Diva. New York Diva and Teardrop collided on several occasions in the back straight, checking Teardrop. Triskelion faulted approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.
Triskelion underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury, right triangle injury and right hock sprain injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
