Bronze Apple – Late scratching at 8.19am when Trainer Mrs J. Riley reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Kennels closed approximately five minutes late due to near by road works delaying a few trainers.
A pre-race sample was taken from Fairytale Youth.
Romeo Lad was slow to begin.
Romeo Lad checked off Lady Gotham soon after the start. Nordic Prince, Fairytale Youth and Chill Out Dusty collided on the first turn, checking Nordic Prince and Fairtytale Youth. Nordic Prince checked off Fairytale Youth on the first turn.
