Crackerjack Scot and Patricia Mary collided approaching the first turn checking Crackerjack Scot. Crown Tuxedo and Black Opaque collided on the home turn. To The Moon marred Heart Beats True in the home straight.
To The Moon underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr G Selkrig, the trainer of To The Moon regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) To The Moon was charged with marring. Mr G Selkrig pleaded guilty to the charge, To The Moon was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
