Firework Joey was slow to begin.
Modern Icon crossed out soon after the start. Ray Shoesmith and Bruno He Mikado collided soon after the start. Mt. View Gift checked off All For Now at the 300m mark. Modern Icon and Raven Rich collided approaching the 200m mark. All For Now looked to the inside at the 50m mark. Ray Shoesmith and All For Now collided approaching the winning post.
All For Now underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 7, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr T. Whitford, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1), All For Now was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge, All For Now is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
