Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Air Commander.
High Tenacity was quick to begin.
Kintamani, Alezan and Hagrid Grange collided on the first turn checking Alezan. Side Splitting checked off High Tenacity on the first turn checking Side Splitting and Kintamani. Kintamani and Side Splitting collided several times on the second turn to entering the home straight. Air Commander eased in the home straight and turned it's head outwards and collided with High Tenacity. High Tenacity and Air Commander collided in the home straight.
Air Commander underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr T Boehmke, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Air Commander was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Boehmke pleaded guilty to the charge, Air Commander must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
