Under The Holly was slow to begin.
Paint Stripper and Kooper Buff collided soon after the start. Rodillo Bronze and Hasty Transit collided approaching the first turn. Paint Stripper and Kooper Buff collided approaching the first turn. Hasty Transit checked off Holly Size on the first turn checking Under The Holly, Paint Stripper and Kooper Buff. Holly Size checked off Absolute Leeder approaching the home turn. Monty's Way veered in and marred the running of Absolute Leader in the home straight severely checking Absolute Leeder and Holly Size. Monty's Way eased approaching the winning post checking Absolute Leeder.
Monty's Way was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Monty's Way with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
