The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute to allow for the running of an interstate harness race.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Howat, the trainer of Driving Me Nuts, which shifted in in the home straight. After speaking with Mr Howat and reviewing footage from the head-on camera, Stewards were satisfied that Driving Me Nuts did not ease or turn its head while shifting in and no further action was taken.

Deal's Up underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle, left sartorius muscle and right triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Riverdale Tuohy was slow to begin. 

Whispy Bale, Crown Nikki and Chill Out Indy collided soon after the start, checking Chill Out Indy. Whispy Bale checked off Gloria Bale approaching the first turn. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke to Mr. Carter and accepted his explanation for the late scratching.

TRIAL 1

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 390m with a field of 5 greyhounds. The winning time of the trial was 22.33.

Coyote finished 5th, Chucka Khan finished 1st, Bets And Beers finished 4th, Cruise Control finished 3rd.   

Coyote – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down for unsatisfactory performance at Horsham and has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to attempted rehoming. Weighing 27.3 kgs and beginning from box 1, beaten by 32.75L. Coyote has not been cleared to race due to being uncompetitive. Coyote underwent a post-trial veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Chucka Khan – Was stood down from racing at Warnambool for marring. Weighing 26.4kgs and beginning from box 2, winning by 3.75L. Chucka Khan has been cleared to race at all tracks except Warnambool. 

Bets And Beers – Was stood down from racing at Geelong for failing to pursue. Weighing 26.6kgs and beginning from box 4, beaten by 12.0L. Bets And Beers has been cleared to race at all tracks except Geelong.

Cruise Control – Was stood down from racing at Ballarat for marring. Weighing 29.2kgs and beginning from box 6, beaten by 8.25L. Cruise Control has been cleared to race at all tracks.

TRIAL 2

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 450m with a field of 5 greyhounds. The winning time of the trial was 25.46.

Titanium Lad finished 2nd, Fran Bale finished 3rd, Gardener's Girl finished 5th, New Cross Gate finished 4th,  Ernesto Bale finished 1st. 

Titanuim Lad – Was stood down from racing at Ballarat for failing to pursue. Weighing 32.4kgs and beginning from box 1, beaten by 2.25L. Titanium Lad has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Fran Bale – Was stood down from racing at The Meadows for cramping. Weighing 28.1kgs and beginning from box 2, beaten by 6.5L. Fran Bale has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Gardener's Girl – Was stood down from racing at Ballarat for failing to pursue. Weighing 26.1kgs and beginning from box 3, beaten by 21.5L. Gardener's Girl has not been cleared to race due to being uncompetitive.

New Cross Gate – Was stood down from racing at Ballarat for failing to chase. Weighing 34.5kgs and beginning from box 7, beaten by 9.0L. New Cross Gate has been cleared to race at all tracks.
