A pre race sample was taken from Ronray Miss.
Election Promise, Abit Patchy, Sweet Millions, Ronray Miss and Concealed collided soon after the start checking Abit Patchy and Sweet Millions. Election Promise and Ronray Miss collided approaching the first turn checking Ronray Miss. Abit Patchy checked off Ronray Miss on the first turn. Ronray Miss and Concealed collided approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Abit Patchy, Ronray Miss and Concealed collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Abit Patchy and Ronray Miss collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn. Ronray Miss and Concealed collided entering the home straight and in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr T Reid, the trainer of the greyhound Ronray Miss. Ronray Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to the left hind leg, no stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Ronray Miss with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
