Steward's Report
Splish Splash – New declared weight of 36.1kgs, last raced at 37.3kgs.
Capital Letters, Rock Boy Stella, National Girl and Idle Gem collided approaching the first turn checking Rock Boy Stella. Bushranger Boy crossed in on the first turn checking Capital Letters. Splish Splash and National Girl collided on the first turn. Rock Boy Stella tailed off in the home straight. Splish Splash turned its head and marred Capital Letters approaching the winning post checking Capital Letters.
Rock Boy Stella underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 3, and was found to have an abrasion to the left stopper. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms C. Barnard, the trainer of Rock Boy Stella regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Rock Boy Stella must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Capital Letters underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Splish Splash underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr G. Graham, the trainer of Splish Splash regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Splish Splash was charged with marring. Mr Graham pleaded guilty to the charge, Splish Splash is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
