Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Jazz Fusion upon arrival at the course.
Landon Bale and Chasin' Bobbi were quick to begin. Infinity Stone was slow to begin.
Chasin' Bobbi shifted in soon after the start checking Elite Coconut, Jazz Fusion, Bont's Charlie and Harrell Bale. Elite Coconut and Bont's Charlie collided on the first turn checking Elite Coconut. Elite Coconut galloped on Infinity Stone approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds.
Elite Coconut underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Infinity Stone underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 3. Infinity Stone was found to have an injury to the left quadriceps and a spike wound. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr B. Hodgson, the trainer of Infinity Stone and acting under GAR 75 (1) Stewards ordered Mr Hodgson to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Infinity Stone in the event which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Stewards conducted a check of catcher’s licences in accordance with LR 16.2 and all were compliant.
Supplementary Report 26.06.2019;
Pursuant to GAR 75 Mr Hodgson trainer of Infinity Stone reported to Stewards that the greyhound appears sore upon examination and intends to seek further veterinary treatment.
