Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Calcaneal.
Blackpool Remi was quick to begin.
Calcaneal and Flash Angel collided soon after the start. Tiggy Buzzard crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Calcaneal and Flash Angel. Nick's Fever checked off Tiggy Buzzard approaching the first turn. Kiowa Kaema, Flash Angel and Flame Slinger collided approaching the home turn. Flame Slinger checked off Blackpool Remi approaching the home turn. Nick's Fever raced wide on the home turn. Flash Angel and Tiggy Buzzard collided several times in the home straight. Blackpool Remi, Flash Angel and Tiggy Buzzard collided approaching the winning post.
Nick's Never underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Shaun Baulch in regards to Nick‘s Nevers‘ performance and acting under GAR 75(1), stewards advised Mr Baulch to report to the Stewards as soon as practical anything that might have affected the running of the greyhound in this event which was noted by stewards immediately after the event.
Supplementary Report 19.06.2019:
Pursuant to GAR 75 (1) Mr Baulch reported to Stewards that the greyhound Nick‘s Never appears sound upon examination.
