French Sugar and Winlock Kin were slow to begin. Maverick Nacho and Galloping Nikki collided soon after the start. Galloping Nikki and Winlock Kin collided on the first turn. French Sugar galloped on Parumba Rebel on the first turn. Maverick Nacho and Parabellum collided approaching the home turn. Maverick Nacho and Parumba Rebel collided on the home turn. Maverick Nacho and Winlock Kin collided in the home straight. Parumba Rebel and Galloping Nikki collided approaching the winning post.
Parumba Rebel underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a sprung toe on the left front foot. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
