Mr J. Buckley failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Black Miss for racing. Mr Buckley was issued with a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Nowhere Nathe and Angus Abalone were slow to begin.

Angus Abalone crossed in soon after the start. Black Miss crossed out soon after the start checking Clan McMillan and Toyman Tim. Jonah Alcatraz and Tinker Cher collided soon after the start. Clan McMillan checked off Toyman Tim at the 200m mark. Tinker Cher checked off Jonah Alcatraz at the 150m mark. Clan McMillan crossed in approaching the 100m mark. Flying Brae tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Flying Brae underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right quadriceps and the right hip. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Maggie Moonshine and Ripper Ricolina collided soon after the start checking Ripper Ricolina. Glory Road and My Lucky Mia collided at the 250m mark. Glory Road checked off My Lucky Mia at the 200m mark. Come On Levendi and My Lucky Mia collided approaching the winning post. Maggie Moonshine and Tinker Cass collided approaching the winning post.

Annihilation and Invictus Waive were slow to begin.

All Hollywood and Stirling Lights collided at the 300m mark. Superior Power and Super Big collided at the 200m mark.

A post-race sample was taken from From The Brink - the winner of the event.

Rothwell Gal crossed out soon after the start checking Busy Bella and Nan Moffitt. Typhoon Tessie and Nan Moffitt collided approaching the 250m mark. Nan Moffitt lost ground in the concluding stages of the event.

Nan Moffitt underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left calf muscle and the right groin muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Joseph Sultana, the trainer of Nan Moffitt, and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 200m mark.

Superior Charry - Late scratching at 11:57am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Cersei was slow to begin.

Cersei and Text Me Later collided soon after the start checking Text Me Later. Meehan Poppy checked off Aston Meilleur at the 250m mark.

Cersei underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Last Hurrah and Reggae Mikado collided soon after the start. Reggae Mikado crossed out at the 300m mark and raced wide for the remainder of the event. Last Hurrah and Off An' Gone collided approaching the winning post.

Sadarli was slow to begin.

Okay Sam checked off Superior Bont at the 300m mark. Sadarli and Vital Force collided at the 300m mark. Sadarli checked off Vital Force approaching the 100m mark. Sadarli checked off Riddles at the 50m mark.

A sample was taken from My Mate Flash upon arrival at the course.

Layback Cruiser - Late scratching at 10:26am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to illness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards subsequently contacted Trainer, Jess Grima, via telephone link-up regarding two successive late withdrawals of the greyhound.  Stewards took no action against Mr Grima after taking into consideration two separate reasons for the withdrawals (weight variance and illness), however, advised that Layback Cruiser not be nominated for future events unless the greyhound has a clear bill of health and within the correct weight range as a third late withdrawal will incur a fine.

Superior Sam, Agent Laylan and Aston Bintang collided soon after the start checking Agent Laylan. Superior Sam and Aston Bintang collided at the 300m mark. Superior Sam and Agent Laylan collided approaching the 200m mark. Superior Sam checked off Aston Bintang approaching the 150m mark. My Mate Flash, Agent Laylan and Aston Bintang collided at the 150m mark checking My Mate Flash and Agent Laylan. Superior Sam checked off Kraken Smiles at the 50m mark. My Mate Flash and Aston Bintang collided at the 50m mark checking both greyhounds.

Rio Dixie and Aston Asahi collided soon after the start. Fuel 'Em, Superstar Jessie and Indy's Dream collided at the 300m mark checking Superstar Jessie. Indy's Dream checked off Rio Dixie at the 250m mark. Indy's Dream checked off Aston Asahi approaching the 200m mark. Fuel 'Em and Rio Dixie collided at the 200m mark. Indy's Dream and She's My Blast collided at the 150m mark checking She's My Blast. Fuel 'Em and Aston Asahi collided several times approaching the winning post.

Undetectable was slow to begin.

Buck The Jockey, Cal's Girl and Nangar Rippa collided at the 300m mark. Coyote Ugly and Classified collided approaching the 250m mark. Time Twister and Classified collided at the 200m and again at the 150m mark. Cal's Girl checked off Time Twister approaching the 50m mark.

Blonde Bella - Late scratching at 10:02am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left calf muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Banjo's Affair began awkwardly and crossed out soon after the start and raced wide throughout the event. Atlas Anonymous and Unexplainable collided soon after the start.  Atlas Anonymous, Unexplainable and Crakalakin Caity collided at the 150m mark. Crakalakin Caity checked off Unexplainable at the 100m mark. Atlas Anonymous and Unexplainable collided at the 50m mark.

Monty Python was slow to begin.

Surgical Wally and Tinker Town collided soon after the start. Monty Python and Aston Kenji collided soon after the start and again at the 150m mark. All You Got checked off Kireina at the 150m mark. Surgical Wally and Aston Kenji collided at the 50m mark and again approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Dalton, the trainer of Monty Python, regarding the greyhound's behaviour in the catching pen and directed that Monty Python race in an anti-aggression muzzle in all future events pursuant to GAR 71A.

Satisfactory Trials at Healesville on 12/1/2020:

Trial (1)

Stewards contacted Trainer, Mr T Gottsche, after kennelling today and advised that Kohana would undergo a full veterinary examination prior to the trial after Stewards noted the age of the greyhound and its last engagement in 2018.  The full veterinary examination found the greyhound fit to compete in a trial. Kohana – Field of 4, Distance 300m, Weight 29.2kgs, Box 1, Placed 4th, Time Run 19.07, Not Cleared, Comment: Tailed Off (31L). Stewards subsequently spoke to Mr Gottsche regarding his intention with the greyhound.  Mr Gottsche advised that the greyhound had recently trialled well and was disappointed with her performance today as he anticipated she would trial well, however, gave an assurance he would be spelling Kohana for a month.  Stewards will note future trials.
