Mr J. Buckley failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Black Miss for racing. Mr Buckley was issued with a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2).
Nowhere Nathe and Angus Abalone were slow to begin.
Angus Abalone crossed in soon after the start. Black Miss crossed out soon after the start checking Clan McMillan and Toyman Tim. Jonah Alcatraz and Tinker Cher collided soon after the start. Clan McMillan checked off Toyman Tim at the 200m mark. Tinker Cher checked off Jonah Alcatraz at the 150m mark. Clan McMillan crossed in approaching the 100m mark. Flying Brae tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Flying Brae underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right quadriceps and the right hip. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Nowhere Nathe - the winner of the event.
